Our experience with the dog shop was great! Our dog was in great condition when we picked her up. She had a very thick coat when we took her in, and she was shedding a lot! When we picked her up, her coat was shiny and beautiful! All of the brushing that they did decreased the shedding tremendously. It was probably the best grooming our dog has ever received. When we came to pick her up, she was relaxed and not nervous. The groomer came and talked to us personally about how the grooming went. They also squeezed our dog into their tight holiday schedule. The price was less than we had paid at some of the "big box" places. We will definitely use them again. (angieslist.com)[divider]
Jessica has been grooming our three-year old Wheaten Terrier Teddy since she was a pup. People regularly stop us to compliment us on how beautifully groomed and cut Teddy is and we are always quick to give the credit to Jessica. Our experienced dog owner friends had cautioned that the most important characteristic in a groomer is a kind and patient hand so the dog is never fearful of the groomer or the surroundings. Teddy is always pleased to greet Jessica and eager to go into the grooming area. So we get a happy, clean and beautifully cut dog and a dependable and trustworthy groomer with excellent communication skills (canine and human!) and very satisfying customer service. Melissa M.This place is a diamond in the ruff! After my old groomer moved too far away, I came to the conclusion that it isn’t easy to find a dog groomer you can trust. It’s very important to me to find a groomer to treat my little guy like the member of the family he is. After a couple bad experiences, I came across The Dog Shop flyer while hangin’ with my pup at The Dakota Memorial Off-Leash Dog Park. I checked them out online and discovered that though Jessica and Danielle have a ton of grooming experience, this small business had only been open a month. I decided that it was time to give them a try (my little guy was in major need of a summer cut). When I called to make the appointment, I was able to bring him in the same day. When we arrived it was a clean, and friendly environment. I love the fact that the dogs can roam freely (but safely) while they are there. Non of the dogs seemed to be stressed out at all. My guy was a little apprehensive to go back at first, but when he saw the other pups hangin’ out, he got excited. I picked him up about three hours later, and he was just laying on the floor observing what was going on. He was excited to see me, but didn’t have the distressed “SAVE ME” look I’ve seen before. His cut looked great, and was a VERY reasonable price for the stress free service provided. Jessica and Danielle are great!! I will recommend them to anyone looking for a better groomer. So happy you two opened this shop up!!!
K. SmithJessica and Danielle...The best groomers I have ever had the the pleasure to meet! Never before have I met two owners with the desire to love and care for all animals. Just being in their presence brings a warm smile to my face. For several years I have brought my two dogs for grooming and washing and have always been met with the greatest attitude of care, professionalism and respect.
Words just can not state the amount of integrity and fortitude the owners of this new business have exhibited on a daily basis. When you speak of being the best and receiving the best care for your pets then I would highly recommend bringing your pets, both large and small to leave them in their care.
They are the best at what they do and that is...”loving, caring for and grooming your pets.” Only once in a lifetime would you ever find owners who have a deep dedication towards your pet. It warms my heart to know I have found them!
Sharissa D.I've taken my Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix here a few times now and he always come back snowy white and smelling good! I love the feel of the place - it's always full of happy dogs just running around playing with each other. From time to time I see a dog in the back who is segregated but I can tell they are aggressive and that's why they're separated. Everyone who works here is so nice and they always seem to remember my dog and comment on his changing coat each time. He's always happy when we comes out of The Dog Shop and he's a champion moper with a serious sad face when he feels like it so if he was upset about the experience -we'd be able to tell. I once took my dog to another groomer and I'm still traumatized by the experience. We've since moved into Lake Oswego and will still be going to the Dog Shop - that's how awesome they are!
