Amber R.I took our new puppy to The Dog Shop for her first nail clipping experience for a couple of reasons. First being, their location is super convenient for me. Second, I had talked with one of the owners about my pups first clipping and I appreciated all of their insights. I'm not going to lie though, I was still so nervous. My previous dog (who has since passed away) was terrified to have his nails clipped. I'm sure that was in part of the bad experiences he'd had early on. I didn't want that to be the case for my puppy. I wanted her to have a good experience from the get go so I was so worried that she would have a bad experience. Like, what if they accidentally cut to close to the quick (her nails are black)...etc... This was not the case though! The ladies (Jessica and Danielle) were AMAZING! They were quick and my puppy was comforted and cared for the whole time. Not a peep of distress from her. I will be bringing our pup back to them in a couple of weeks for her first bath experience which I'm hoping goes just as well.
Michele M.We have been bringing our golden retriever Ellie here for years. She came from an abusive situation and the ladies at the Dog Shop take the time to ensure that she is comfortable and that it is a fun experience for Ellie. Ellie actually gets excited about going to the Dog Shop. She loves the interaction with the other dogs, especially Huckleberry. They do an awesome job grooming her. Always professional and friendly service!
Being a Golden Retriever, Eddie Spaghetti has been to his fair share of groomers...I mean, A LOT of groomers. I am pleased to say we’ve found our last one! Apart from the reasonable prices, Danielle is the most talented groomer Eddie and I have been to yet; she is the epitome of ‘dog whisperer’. Our experience with the dog shop was great! Our dog was in great condition when we picked her up. She had a very thick coat when we took her in, and she was shedding a lot! When we picked her up, her coat was shiny and beautiful! All of the brushing that they did decreased the shedding tremendously. It was probably the best grooming our dog has ever received. When we came to pick her up, she was relaxed and not nervous. The groomer came and talked to us personally about how the grooming went. They also squeezed our dog into their tight holiday schedule. Mj B.By far the best groomers we have ever found! Our Airedale Booker has been groomed there several times now and looks better than ever. Previous groomers shaved him which led to skin irritations. Now, his skin is a good as ever! Booker is happy from the moment he arrives and enjoys playing with the other dogs. We take our Corgi Parker in for nail trims - something Corgis generally don't like. The girls have the magic touch because Parker puts up very little fuss, amazing! So very glad we found this local gem!
